SPRINGER SCHOOL AND CENTER PROVIDES A DAY SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR 200 STUDENTS, AGES 6-14 AND EMPOWERS STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES TO LEAD SUCCESSFUL LIVES. SMALL-GROUP INSTRUCTION AND DIAGNOSTIC TEACHING PROVIDE THE STRATEGIES AND SKILLS STUDENTS NEED TO SUCCEED IN TRADITIONAL SCHOOLS. INDIVIDUALIZED PROGRAMS MAY INCLUDE LANGUAGE THERAPY, PSYCHOTHERAPY, AND/OR MOTOR SKILLS TRAINING. STUDENTS ARE ENROLLED AN AVERAGE OF FOUR YEARS. THE CENTER PROVIDES INFORMATION, CONSULTATION, AND NUMEROUS PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS, PARENTS, AND PROFESSIONALS THROUGHOUT THE GREATER CINCINNATI AREA.
THE OUTREACH CENTER OFFERS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT RELATED TO LEARNING DISABILITIES FOR STUDENTS, PARENTS, AND EDUCATORS. THE OUTREACH CENTER'S SUMMER PROGRAM HELPS CHILDREN BECOME MORE CONFIDENT LEARNERS AND IMPROVE THEIR BASIC SKILLS. IN A NURTURING ENVIRONMENT, THE CHILDREN WORK WITH INSTRUCTORS TRAINED TO HELP CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES. THE FOUR-WEEK MORNING PROGRAM PROVIDES SMALL GROUP STRATEGIC INSTRUCTION IN LANGUAGE ARTS, MATH, WRITING, AND GROUP PROBLEM SOLVING. AFTERNOON PROGRAMS RANGE FROM SOCIAL SKILLS TO CREATIVE EXPRESSION.
