AECOS GLOBAL CHARITIES IS ORGANIZED TO OPERATE EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES, WITH THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF OPHTHALMIC CARE IN UNDERSERVED REGIONS OF THE WORLD. AECOS GLOBAL CHARITIES SEEKS TO SUPPORT MEDICAL CLINICS THAT PROVIDE CATARACT SURGERY AND OTHER EYE CARE SERVICES FOR UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS. THE ORGANIZATION WILL FIRST SUPPORT CLINICS IN HONDURAS AND EL SALVADOR WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENDING TO OTHER COUNTRIES THROUGHOUT CENTRAL AMERICA OR ELSEWHERE. FUNDS COLLECTED BY AECOS GLOBAL CHARITIES HAVE BEEN DISBURSED TO THIS REGION WHERE THEY ARE BEING UTILIZED TO ESTABLISH EYE CARE CLINICS.

THE ORGANIZATION IS COLLABORATING WITH THE CENTRAL AMERICAN EYE CLINICS (C.A.E.C) TO EVALUATE THE LEVEL OF PATIENT CARE LOCALLY IN CENTRAL AMERICA. A TRAINING PROGRAM IS BEING DEVELOPED TO IMPROVE THE SKILL SET OF LOCAL SURGEONS VIS-A-VIS PREMIUM TECHNOLOGIES AND TEACH THEM TO OPERATE WITH A HIGH DEGREE OF SURGICAL EFFICIENCY. IN ADDITION, AECOS MEMBERS WILL ALSO PARTICIPATE IN CONTINUING EDUCATION AND CLINICAL STUDIES TO ESTABLISH A VERY HIGH STANDARD OF CARE FOR ANTERIOR SEGMENT SURGERY IN THIS REGION.
