THE ORGANIZATION ASSISTS GIRLS AND WOMEN ACHIEVE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND REALIZE LIFE GOALS THROUGH GRANTS IN THE AREAS OF EDUCATION, HEALTH, WELLNESS, CAREER AND LIFE SKILLS. THE ORGANIZATION DID THIS IN FOUR WAYS IN 2021: 1. THROUGH MAKING GRANTS TO THE FUND FOR WOMEN ENDOWMENT AT THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF THE FINGER LAKES. IN 2021 THE ORGANIZATION ADDED $17,500 TO THE ENDOWMENT. THE ORGANIZATION HAS A GRANT COMMITTEE THAT MAKES RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR GRANT AWARDS TO INDIVIDUALS AND NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. IN 2021, TOTAL GRANTS AWARDED BY THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FROM THE FUND FOR WOMEN ENDOWMENT AMOUNTED TO $65,120.2. THROUGH THE FUND FOR WOMEN EMPOWER GRANT TO AN AREA NONPROFIT. IN 2021 $6,906 WAS AWARDED.4. DUE TO THE PANDEMIC WE CANCELLED THE 2020 FFW INSPIRE FUNDRAISING EVENT AND PROVIDED AN OPTION TO SPONSORS AND GUESTS TO DESIGNATE FUNDS THEY ALREADY PROVIDED FOR THE EVENT TO CREATE A SPECIAL FUND FOR COVID RELIEF FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS IN THE AREA. OUR GENEROUS SUPPORTERS DESIGNATED $45,943 FOR THIS FUND. IN 2021, $11,500 WAS AWARDED TO ASSIST WOMEN AND GIRLS IN NEED DURING THE UNPRECEDENTED PANDEMIC.
