Part 3 - Line 4a
OVER THE FY2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR, GO LIKE THE WIND GREW STUDENT ENROLLMENT FROM 27 STUDENTS TO 64 STUDENTS BY YEAR END. ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE SUGGESTS THAT THIS WAS DUE, AT LEAST PARTLY, TO THE EFFECT ON PARENT OPINIONS ABOUT SENDING THEIR CHILDREN TO SCHOOL DURING A PANDEMIC CAUSED BY: 1)COVID- RELATED CHANGES IN SCHOOL OPERATIONS, (E.G. STUDENT AND FACULTY MASKS, ROOM AIR CLEANERS, AND LIMITS ON NON-STUDENT ENTRY INTO THE SCHOOL BUILDING); 2) THE REQUIREMENT THAT FACULTY BE VACCINATED AGAINST COVID, THE INCREASING NUMBER OF VACCINATED PERSONS IN THE GENERAL POPULATION, AND PUBLIC-DOMAIN INFORMATION ABOUT RELATIVE RISK OF COVID TRANSMISSION BETWEEN CHILDREN; 3) THE DESIRE AND/OR NEED FOR IN-PERSON INFANT CARE, PRE-SCHOOL, AND ELEMENTARY EDUCATION, GENERALY, AND MONTESSORI-BASED PROGRAMS IN PARTICULAR, AFTER EXPERIENCING THE LIMITATIONS OF AT-HOME AND/OR REMOTE INSTRUCTION.
