TO INITIATE AND ENCOURAGE COLLECTIVE ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROWTH WITHIN THE FIRST-RING SUBURBS OF CLEVELAND. FSCDC PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, EXPERTISE AND RESOURCES TO MEMBER CITIES TO STRENGTHEN THE CAPACITY OF CITIES ADVANCING DEVELOPMENT AND REDEVELOPMENT.

FSDC UNDERTOOK THE FIRST PHASE OF THE SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSING ZONING CODE UPDATE PROJECT TO BETTER PREPARE THE PATH TO BRING INFILL DEVELOPMENT TO THE 5,000+ AVAILABLE LOTS IN FIRST SUBURBS COMMUNITIES FOLLOWING SUCCESSFUL USE OF CUYAHOGA COUNTYS $50M DEMOLITION FUND. THE REGIONALIZED CODE ENFORCEMENT SOFTWARE PILOT CONTINUES TO GROWN FROM AN ORIGINAL SIX TO NOW TEN COMMUNITIES. THIS EFFORT WAS AN INVALUABLE TOOL AS COVID-19 SHUTDOWNS CLOSED CITY HALLS TO THE PUBLIC BUT STILL ALLOWED MUNICIPAL BUILDING DEPARTMENTS TO KEEP OPEN THROUGH THIS ON-LINE PLATFORM. EFFORTS TO GROW THE NORTHEAST OHIO ADVANCED ENERGY DISTRICT IN 2021 SUCCESSFULLY BROUGHT NEW MUNICIPAL MEMBERS TO THE SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AND CLOSED OVER $10M IN PACE FINANCED PROJECTS.
