THE FUND IS INVOLVED IN RESEARCH IN THE MEDICAL FIELD, PROMOTING AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE MEDICAL SCIENCE IN VARIETY OF FIELDS, AS WELL AS, PROVIDE SERVICE TO MEDICAL PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RAMBAM HOSPITAL AS WELL AS THE GENERAL PUBLIC.THE FUND IS AN ORGANIZATION ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN PROVIDING MEDICAL CARE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE RAMBAM. MEDICAL CENTER. THE RAMBAM MEDICAL CENTER IS ONE OF TEN PUBLIC HOSPITALS OWNED AND RUN BY THE GOVERNMENT OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL. THE FUND FOR RESEARCH PROVIDE CLINICAL AND CONSULTING SERVICES TO THE GENERAL ISRAELI GOVERNMENTAL HOSPITAL RAMBAM IN HAIFA, ISRAEL. THESE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED BY THE STAFF OF THE FUND. IN ADDITION THE FUND FOR RESEARCH RECEIVES DONATIONS FROM A VARIETY OF ENTITIES IN ISRAEL AND THE US. THE DONATIONS SERVE DIFFERENT WARDS IN THE HOSPITAL SUCH AS: ONCOLOGY, INTENSIVE CARE, AIDS TESTING, CHILDREN'S WING, ETC.SOME DONATIONS ARE RESTRICTED TO SPECIFIC REQUESTS MADE BY THE DONOR. SOME ARE EARMARKED TO BE USED BY THE DISCRETION OF THE HEAD OF A WARD OR THE FUND MANAGEMENT. THESE DONATIONS ARE USED FOR SUCH THINGS AS ACQUISITION OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, LEASEHOLD IMPROVEMENTS, SALARIES AND OTHER EXPENSES. IN ADDITION, DONATIONS ARE ALSO USED FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE DIFFERENT MEDICAL FIELDS, AND FOR THE BETTERMENT OF BASIC PATIENT CARE. RESEARCH GRANTS HAVE BEEN AWARDED BY A VARIETY OF ORGANIZATIONS AND ENTITIES IN ISRAEL AND THE US.
