FOUNDED IN 1999, THE POLISH CENTER OF DISCOVERY AND LEARNING (PCDL) IS A CULTURAL AND HERITAGE MUSUEM CAPTURING THE EXPERIENCE POLISH IMMIGRANT AND THE AMERICANS OF POLISH DECENT. THE MUSEUM ITESLF IS AN 18-GALLERY, 130-YEAR-OLD FULLY RESTORED BUILDING WITH AN EXENTSIVE COLLECTION OF OVER 3,000 BOOKS, HISTORIC DOCUMENTS, RARE MONOGRAPHS, VINTAGE PHOTOS, AND ARTIFACTS OF HISTORIC, CULTURAL, AND POLITICAL SIGNIFICANCE.THE PCDL FOCUSES ON PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL EVENTS, RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES, AND PROMOTING THE POLISH IMMIGRANT HISTORY IN THE COMMUNITY. AS PART OF THE MISSION WE SEEK TO STRENGTHEN EXISTING (AND NEW) RELATIONSHIPS WITH ORGANIZATIONS AND OTHERS AT THE COMMUNITY LEVEL, AND PROMOTE THE MUSEUM AS A TOURIST DESTINATION. THE PCDL'S UNIQUE MISSION DRAWS ATTENTION TO A REGION RICH IN NATURAL ATTRACTIONS AND HISTORY. LOCATED IN THE "KNOWLEDGE CORRIDOR" WHERE US I-90 AND I-91 CONVERGE, IT IS EASILY REACHED BY REGIONAL METROPOLITAN AREAS. IT DRAWS NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL VISITORS AS WELL.
