MARION HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR GRADUATES, EDUCATORS, AND OTHER MHS AFFILIATES TO RECONNECT, COMMUNICATE AND TO SUPPORT FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF MARION HIGH SCHOOL AND OF FUTURE ALUMNI ASSOCATION MEMBERS. THE CONTRIBUTIONS SUPPORTED THE GIANT DISCOVERY ZONE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM WHICH BRINGS TOGETHER THE BEST COACHES, ORGANIZATIONS AND BUSINESSES IN THE CITY TO HELP MARION COMMUNITY SCHOOLS STUDENTS EXPLORE NEW ACTIVITIES AND DISCOVER WHAT THEY ENJOY, AND WHERE THEY CAN EXCEL. HOMEWORK HELP AND TUTORING IS ALSO PROVIDED.
COMMUNITY SCHOOL OF THE ARTS RECOGNIZES THE ARTS AS AN EXPRESSION OF OUR COMMON CULTURE AND THE DIVERSITY OF HUMAN EXPERIENCE. CSA IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, WHICH PROVIDES AN INTERDISCIPLINARY ARTS PROGRAM FOR ARTS ENJOYMNET, ARTS EDUCATION AND PARTICIPATION IN THE VISUAL, LITERARY, PERFORMING ARTS, MARTIAL ARTS, AND CULINARY ARTS WITH COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE, FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY AND AVAILABLITY FOR ALL PEOPLE.
ST. MARTIN DEPORRES COMMUNITY CENTER - PROVIDES DAILY MEALS AND FOOD PANTRY TO HELP SATISFY BASIC NEEDS. AS SIMPLE NEEDS ARE MET, THE NETWORK OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES AGENCIES HELP THE POOR BUILD NECESSARY SKILLS TO WORK OUT OF POVERTY.
CANCER SERVICES OF GRANT COUNTY - A GRANT COUNTY COMMUNITY BASED AGENCY THAT LIFTS THE BURDENS OF ILLNESS FOR LOCAL INDIVIDUALS FACING CANCER AS WELL AS PROVIDING COUNTYWIDE EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH ON EARLY DETECTION AND CANCER PREVENTION.
