2019 PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR 3 STRANDS INTERNATIONALIN JUNE WE HOSTED A TEAM OF THIRTEEN PEOPLE FROM CHRIST COMMUNITY CHURCH, MONTREAT, NORTH CAROLINA. THE TEAM HELPED GIVE HOYWICK SCHOOL, A LEARNING CENTER IN KIBERA SLUM, A FACE-LIFT BY PAINTING THE CLASSROOMS. THEY ALSO PARTITIONED THE SCHOOL HALL WHICH EMPOWERED THE STUDENTS TO STUDY IN DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS. THE STUDENTS CAN NOW CONCENTRATE AND STUDY BETTER IN SEPARATE CLASSROOMS. THE TEAM SHARED THE LOVE OF CHRIST TO 923 CHILDREN IN 6 SCHOOLS, 3 CHURCHES AND 2 CHILDREN'S HOMES.IN AUGUST WE HOSTED A TEAM OF SIX LADIES FROM JOHNSON FERRY BAPTIST CHURCH, ATLANTA, GA. THEY SPENT TIME WITH LADIES OF OUR BETTY DUNN-SEW4LIFE SEWING MINISTRY. THE TEAM DONATED SEWING SUPPLIES AND TAUGHT THE LADIES TO MAKE DRAWSTRING BAGS AND REUSABLE SANITARY TOWELS. PURCHASING SANITARY TOWELS MONTHLY IS NOT AFFORDABLE TO THE LADIES IN THE SLUMS AND THE REUSABLE SANITARY TOWELS WERE A HUGE BLESSING TO THEM AND THEIR COMMUNITY. THANK YOU FOR HELPING US REACH OUT TO THE LEAST, THE LOST, AND THE LONELY IN THE SLUMS OF NAIROBI.IN SEPTEMBER WE HOSTED A TEAM OF TWELVE FROM WEST-U BAPTIST AND CROSSPOINT CHURCH IN HOUSTON, TEXAS. THE MISSION TEAM USED OUR LIGHT AND SOUL, AN EVANGELISM TOOL, TO SHARE THE LOVE OF CHRIST AND DISTRIBUTED SOLAR LAMPS TO 40 FAMILIES THAT LIVE IN THE REMOTE VILLAGES OF THE MAASAI MARA. THE WOMEN WITH CHILDREN ON THEIR BACKS HAD WALKED LONG DISTANCES, CROSSING RIVERS AND VALLEYS TO RECEIVE SOLAR LAMPS TO LIGHT THEIR MUD-WALLED MANYATTA HOUSES. DURING THE MINISTRY WEEK 252 PEOPLE WERE TREATED IN TWO FREE MEDICAL CAMPS AMONGST THEM 37 ACCEPTED CHRIST AS THEIR LORD AND SAVIOR.THE MOTHERWISE MINISTRY HAS TRAINED 190 MOTHERS IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS THROUGH THE WISDOM FOR MOTHERS BIBLE STUDY.WE HAVE ALSO STARTED 50 NEW BIBLE STUDY GROUPS IN KENYA. WE CONTINUE TO SEE MOTHERS ENCOURAGED IN THEIR ROLE AND GROW SPIRITUALLY THROUGH THE BIBLE STUDY.WE PLAN TO PURCHASE THE ENTIRE 7 ACRES LAND AROUND 3-STRANDS DISCIPLESHIP FACILITYWE HAVE RELOCATED SOME OF OUR SEW4LIFE MINISTRY LADIES TO A NEW BETTY DUNN SITE AND ARE IN THE PROCESS OF RELOCATING THE ENTIRE MINISTRY TO OUR DISCIPLESHIP CENTER. WE BELIEVE THIS MOVE WILL BE AN INTEGRAL PART OF OUR FIVE-YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN
