HOPE BOXES OF PERSONAL COMFORT ITEMS AND INSPIRATIONAL BIBLICAL LITERATURE TO EXPRESS TANGIBLE LOVE TO BEREAVED MOTHERS OF INFANTS WERE PREPARED AND DISTRIBUTED: 1,232 WERE PRODUCED FROM INDIVIDUAL HOPE BOX GATHERINGS COAST TO-COAST, 2,621 WERE DIRECTLY PREPARED BY LOCAL CHAPTERS FOR HOSPITALS IN TEXAS, NEW MEXICO, INDIANA, AND FLORIDA, AND 368 BOXES WERE MAILED DIRECTLY TO MOTHERS NATIONWIDE.
A WEEKEND RETREAT FOR MOTHERS BEREAVED BY INFANT LOSS IN ORDER TO COMFORT, ENCOURAGE AND ENGAGE THEM WITH GOD WAS HELD AT TEJAS CAMP AND RETREAT CENTER IN GIDDING, TEXAS IN APRIL 2021. 72 WOMEN, FROM 15 DIFFERENT US STATES ATTENDED. 125 BABIES IN HEAVEN WERE HONORED AND REMEMBERED.
WE HAVE THREE BIBLE STUDIES THAT WERE CAREFULLY WRITTEN AND WAS SELF- PUBLISHED USING AMAZON'S CREATESPACE TO PROVIDE ACCURATE, LOVING, AND COMFORTING BIBLICAL INSIGHT INTO THE ISSUES OF INFANT LOSS THAT ARE EXPERIENCED BY GRIEVING MOTHERS. WE USE THESE STUDIES IN THE SPRING AND FALL DURING OUR HOPE GROUP SESSIONS IN WHICH WE HAD A TOTAL OF 293 PARTICIPANTS.
OUR FOUNDER, ERIN CUSHMAN, WROTE A NEW BOOK TITLED, BRIGHT HOPE: 28 DAILY DEVOTIONS FOR GRIEF IN LIGHT OF THE GOSPEL THAT WE LAUNCHED ON GIVING TUESDAY AND IS NOW AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE ON AMAZON. IT WAS WRITTEN TO GIVE HOPE AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO THOSE IN MOURNING. CENTERED AROUND BIBLICAL TRUTH, DRAWING ON HISTORICAL EXPRESSIONS OF FAITH THROUGH HYMNS AND POETRY, AND INFUSED WITH PERSONAL EXPERIENCES, BRIGHT HOPE IS FOR ANYONE JOURNEYING THROUGH THE LONELY SHADOWS CAUSED BY DEATH AND TOWARD THE LIGHT OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS. IT IS NOW INCLUDED IN OUR HOPE BOXES.
