HEADING FOR HOME RACEHORSE RETRAINING/ADOPTION CENTER, INC(HFH) IS DEDICATED TO THE PROMOTION OF VIABLE ALTERNATIVES FOR THOROUGHBRED AND STANDARDBRED RACEHORSES UPON RETIREMENT. ADDITONALLY, HFH SUPPORTS COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS THROUGH PROVIDING THEM THE POSITIVE INFLUENCE OF OUR HORSES AND THE EQUINE ATMOSPHERE.

Part 3 - Line 4a
HFH RETRAINS RETIRED RACEHORSES AFTER RACING ACTIVITIES. THE PROGRAM INVOLVES USING PROFESSIONAL HORSE TRAINERS TO EVALUATE THE HORSES POTENTIAL AND IMPLEMENT RETRAINING EXCERCISES TO BETTER PREPARE THE HORSES FOR ACTIVITIES AFTER RACING, SUCH AS EVENTING, MOUNTED POLICE, AND TRAIL & PLEASURE RIDING.
HFH TRAINS AND UTILIZES OUR HORSES FOR COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS FOR AREA CHILDREN AND ADULTS, ALLOWING THEM THE CALMING EXPERIENCE PROVIDED IN THE PRESENSE OF THE EQUINE ATMOSPHERE.
HFH PROMOTES THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC REGARDING THE VERSALTILITY OF FORMER RACEHORSES BY DEMONSTARTING THEIR ALTERNATIVE SKILLS.
