THE FOUNDATION WAS FORMED TO MAINTAIN AND COLLECT DATA OF PATIENTS IN THE CRITICAL CARE UNIT WHO EITHER HAVE AN ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY OR DO NOT HAVE AN ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY. THE PURPOSE IS TO STUDY THESE HIGH RISK PATIENTS AND PUBLISH THE BEST EVIDENCE OF HOW TO TREAT THESE DIFFICULT PATIENTS BEST. IT ALSO HAS A PURPOSE TO PROACTIVELY MARKET THESE PRACTICES TO THE HEALTHCARE COMMUNITY.
