THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO OFFER COMPASSIONATE, INTERFAITH SPIRITUAL CARE IN A CONTEMPLATIVE COMMUNITY SO THOSE WHO ARE DYING LEAVE THIS WORLD WITH DIGNITY AND GRACE. CARE IS PROVIDED AT NO COST TO THE INDIVIDUALS. THE STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS OF THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORT AND SUPPLEMENT THE CARE PROVIDED BY HOSPICE CAREGIVERS. THE ORGANIZATION IS ALSO A COMMUNITY EDUCATION RESOURCE FOR INFORMATION ON DYING AND DEATH.

ABODE OFFERS COMPASSIONATE INTERFAITH AND SPIRITUAL CARE IN A CONTEMPLATIVE COMMUNITY SO THOSE WHO ARE DYING, LEAVE THIS WORLD WITH DIGNITY AND GRACE. ABODE'S GUESTS ARE THOSE IN THEIR LAST MONTHS, WEEKS OR DAYS OF LIFE, AND HAVE NO PLACE TO LIVE OR NEED SOMEONE TO CARE FOR THEM. THE STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS PROVIDE 24/7 CARE IN A SPACIOUS HOME, WHERE GUESTS RESIDE IN PRIVATE BEDROOMS, EACH WITH A PRIVATE BATH AND FRENCH DOORS THAT OPEN TO A BEAUTIFUL BACK YARD. THE STAFF GETS TO KNOW THE GUESTS, ENSURING THAT THEY RECEIVE LOVE, CARING, AND BEAUTY DURING THOSE PRECIOUS LAST DAYS, AT NO COST TO THEM. IN ADDITION, ABODE OFFERS EDUCATION AND OUTREACH THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY OF SAN ANTONIO. THERE IS NO OTHER HOME LIKE ABODE IN SAN ANTONIO.
