IN 2021 WE CARRIED OUT OUR FOURTH GIRLS VOICES NOW PROGRAM, SERVING 19 GIRLS AGES 14-18 FROM UNDER RESOURCED COMMUNITIES IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY. THIS ENTAILED A 4-WEEK VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION PROGRAM IN DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKING, SELF-CARE, AND INSTRUCTION IN SOCIAL CHANGE ACTIVISM. THE PREMIERE PUBLIC SCREENING OF THE FIVE PRODUCED FILMS IN THE PROGRAM WERE SCREENED IN A WORLDWIDE PREMIERE, ONLINE, BRING 140+ HOUSEHOLDS TOGETHER TO VIEW THE FILMS AND MEET THE FILMMAKERS. THE COHORT ALSO PARTICIPATED IN A HOLIDAY REUNION, AND HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO RECEIVE COLLEGE ESSAY EDITING.
IN 2020 WE OPENED SUBMISSIONS FOR OUR 2021 ONLINE FILM FESTIVAL, BRINGING 146 FILMS FROM 36 COUNTRIES TO BE CONSIDERED FOR COMPETITION.
WALK IT LIKE I TALK IT , A WORKSHOP HELD AT FRATERNITY HOUSES AT USC IN COORDINATION WITH THE INTERFRATERNITY COUNCIL.
