TO IMPROVE PROFESSIONALISM IN THE ABE FIELD THROUGH HIGH QUALITY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES, TO BE PROAVTIVE ORGANIZATION WHOSE PRESENCE IS INSTRUMENTAL AT STATEWIDE MEETINGS AND DISCUSSIONS CONCERNING ABE, AND TO ADVOCATE FOR ADULT LITERACY PROGRAMS WITH STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMNET LAW AND POLICY MAKERS.

GENERAL FUNDS-GENERAL FUNDS ARE USED TO CARRY OUT THE MISSION AND GOALS OF LAN INCLUDING: PART-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR CONTRACT, LEGISLTAIVE LOBBYIST'S CONTRACT, MEMBERSHIP MARKETING OF THE LAN, WEBSITE MAINTENANCE, BI-ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE FORUM, AND COMMITTEE EXPENSES(TRAVEL ETC.).
SUPPLEMENTAL SERVICE FUND-SUPPORT STATEWIDE AID PROGRAM ENHANCEMENT ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING STATEWIDE ABE CONFERENCE PLANNING AND IMPLEMENATION, STATEWIDE COMMITTEE OR TASK FORCE SUPPORT, AND OTHER DUTIES THAT SUPPORT AND ADD VALUE TO ABE STATEWIDE COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING.
