TO OPERATE EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES, INCLUDING, FOR SUCH PURPOSES: (I) MAKING NEED-BASED DISTRIBUTIONS AND PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO EMPLOYEES OF MAXIM HEALTHCARE SERVICES, INC., A MARYLAND CORPORATION, OR THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS, ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY A "QUALIFIED DISASTER", (II) MAKING DISTRIBUTIONS AND PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT QUALIFY AS EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS UNDER SEC 501(C)(3) WHICH PROVIDE RELIEF, FINANCIAL AID, ASSISTANCE AND DISASTER RELIEF PAYMENTS TO DISASTER VICTIMS OR TO THE POOR OR DISTRESSED, OR WHICH PROVIDE DONATIONS FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE PURPOSES, (III) MAKING NEED-BASED DISTRIBUTIONS AND PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO VICTIMS OF DISASTERS AND THEIR FAMILIES AND TO THE POOR AND DISTRESSED, (IV) DEVELOPING PARAMETERS FOR, REVIEWING AND APPROVING APPLICATIONS FOR, AND MAKING SOCIAL JUSTICE BASED SCHOLARSHIPS, AND (V) MAKING DISTRIBUTIONS AND PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THAT QUALIFY AS EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS UNDER SEC 501(C)(3) OF THE IRC.

THE ORGANIZATION MADE DISTRIBUTIONS AND PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO 9 ORGANIZATIONS THAT QUALIFY AS EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE OF 1986, AS AMENDED, WHICH PROVIDE RELIEF, FINANCIAL AID, ASSISTANCE AND DISASTER RELIEF PAYMENTS TO DISASTER VICTIMS OR TO THE POOR OR DISTRESSED, OR WHICH PROVIDE DONATIONS FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE PURPOSES.


THE ORGANIZATION MADE SOCIAL JUSTICE BASED SCHOLARSHIP DISTRIBUTIONS ON BEHALF OF 12 INDIVIDUALS WHOM SUBMITTED APPLICATIONS THAT WERE REVIEWED AND APPROVED BASED ON PARAMETERS DEVELOPED BY THE SOCIAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE.
