THE ORGANIZATION IS A PARTNERSHIP OF PUBLIC POLICY, ADVOCACY AND GRASSROOTS ORGANIZING NONPROFITS DEDICATED TO ACHIEVING A BETTER, FAIRER, HEALTHIER NORTH CAOLINA THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTEGRATED COMMUNICAITONS AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY.

PROGRAM 1) CIVIC ENGAGEMENT - WE RAN A SHARED GOTV PROGRAM WITH OVER A DOZEN PARTNERS AND ALLIES IN EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA AND PRIORITIZED WORK IN KINSTON, WILMINGTON, AND FAYETTEVILLE. TOGETHER WE MAILED 65,395 VOTERS, MADE 86,860 PHONE CALLS, SENT MORE THAN 50,000 TEXT MESSAGES, AND KNOCKED ON 15,271 DOORS.
PROGRAM 2) CAPACITY BUILDING - WE CONTINUED OUR WORK BUILDING THE CAPACITY OF OUR PARTNERS OVERALL AND TO ENGAGE IN CIVIC ENGAGEMENT PRORAMMING. IN 2019, WE PRIORITIZED SUPPORTING PARTNERS TO MAINTAIN THEIR EXISTING CAPACITY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND ENCOURAGED INVESTMENT IN PEOPLE, NOT JUST PROGRAMS. WE REFOCUSED OUR BASE BUILDING FUNDING TO PROVIDE CAPACITY GRANTS TO ORGANIZATIONS TO SUPPORT THEIR YEAR-ROUND ORGANIZING.
PROGRAM 3) COMMUNICATIONS - WE CONTINUED TO HAVE A STRONG VOTER REGISTRATION PROGRAM, SUPPORTING PARTNERS TO COLLECT 39,000 VOTER REGISTRATION APPLICATIONS AND WORKED WITH THREE PARTNERS TO GROW THEIR LATINX FOCUSED VOTER REGISTRATION PROGRAMS.
