THE LANSING 5:01 PROGRAM ATTRACTS AND RETAINS EMERGING PROFESSIONALS TO THE LANSING COMMUNITY THROUGH UNIQUE PROGRAMS, EXPERIENTIAL EVENTS, AND PLACEBASED MARKETING INITIATIVES. LANSING 5:01 WELCOMED APPROXIMATELY 4,000 ATTENDEES ACROSS 2 LARGE-SCALE IN-PERSON EVENTS AND 8 VIRTUAL GRAND RIVER CONNECTION EVENTS IN FY 20-21. OUR BIGGEST EVENT, THE BLOCK:AID, TOOK PLACE IN MID JUNE 2021 ON WASHINGTON SQUARE IN DOWNTOWN LANSING AND SAW APPROXIMATELY 2,000 PARTICIPANTS. BLOCK:AID INCLUDED A 4-BLOCK STREET CLOSURE, ACTIVATED WITH 4 DIFFERENT PERFORMING ARTS STAGES, VENDORS, ARTISAN MARKET, MOBILE AXE THROWING, AND FAMILY FRIENDLY INFLATABLES AND ACTIVITIES. BLOCK:AID WAS DESIGNED TO BRING SUPPORT, AWARENESS, AND "AID" TO DOWNTOWN LANSING BUSINESSES THAT HAD BEEN SEVERELY IMPACTED BY THE PANDEMIC. OUR ANNUAL DAM JAM MUSIC FESTIVAL, WHICH TOOK PLACE OVER THREE DAYS IN MID-JULY 2021 AT OLD TOWN LANSING, HOSTED 8 DIFFERENT MICHIGAN-BASED PERFORMING ARTISTS, AN ARTISAN MARKET, AND OPPORTUNITIES TO ENJOY THE RIVERFRONT AND THE LANSING RIVER TRAIL. LANSING 5:01 CONTINUES TO POSITION OUR WEBSITE, AT LANSING501.COM, AS THE PREMIUM PLATFORM FOR EMPLOYERS, RECRUITERS, AND EMERGING TALENT THAT IS CONSIDERING THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR LIVING AND WORKING IN THE LANSING REGION.
