GIVEDIRECTLY OFFERS A SERVICE ALLOWING OTHERS - GOVERNMENTS, FOUNDATIONS, INDIVIDUAL DONORS - TO PROVIDE DIRECT CASH TRANSFERS, TO THOSE IN NEED. THE ORGANIZATION'S PROPRIETARY MODEL RE-ENGINEERS FIELDWORK FOR THE DIGITAL ERA, ALLOWING IT TO COMPLETE THESE TRANSFERS SECURELY, EFFICIENTLY AND TRANSPARENTLY. USING THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY AT EVERY STEP, GIVEDIRECTLY LOCATES RECIPIENTS, INTEGRATES THEM INTO ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS NETWORKS, AND MONITORS TRANSFERS END-TO-END. THE ORGANIZATION CHARGES DONORS THE FULL COST OF DELIVERING THIS SERVICE. SINCE 2009, GIVE DIRECTLY HAS REACHED MORE THAN 1M RECIPIENTS IN 11 COUNTRIES.IN 2022, GIVEDIRECTLY DELIVERED OVER $146M TO OVER 334K HOUSEHOLDS IN 11 COUNTRIES, INCLUDING TWO NEW COUNTRIES (NIGERIA AND YEMEN) ACROSS 27 DIFFERENT PROGRAMS. WE PROVIDED TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO THE SOCIAL FUND OF THE DRC'S COVID-19 RELIEF EFFORT THROUGH AN ALTERNATIVE APPROACH THAT USES THE LATEST IN DATA SCIENCE (INCLUDING MACHINE LEARNING WHERE APPROPRIATE) AND DIGITAL PAYMENTS TECHNOLOGY TO REMOTELY IDENTIFY, ENROLL, AND PAY PEOPLE LIVING IN EXTREME POVERTY AT UNPRECEDENTED SPEED AND SCALE. WE HELPED LAUNCH 3 OF THE 10 LARGEST GUARANTEED INCOME PROGRAMS IN THE UNITED STATES. IN ADDITION, WE EXECUTED A SWIFT RESPONSE TO HURRICANES IAN AND FIONA, ENSURING THAT AFFECTED FAMILIES RECEIVED FINANCIAL SUPPORT WITHIN A 48-HOUR TIMEFRAME UPON ENROLLMENT. AS PART OF OUR ONGOING COMMITMENT TO RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT, WE SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED OUR 20TH RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED TRIAL, INCLUDING FIVE STUDIES CONDUCTED IN 2022. THE RESULTS FROM THESE STUDIES REVEALED SIGNIFICANT POSITIVE IMPACTS ON RESILIENCE, INVESTMENTS, INCOME, AND ASSETS WITHIN OUR CASH TRANSFER PROGRAMS SPANNING LIBERIA, MALAWI AND UGANDA.
