LAKE FORK CLASSIC LLC ORGANIZES AND CONDUCTS AN ANNUAL FISHING TOURNAMENT (ANNUAL LAKE FORK CLASSIC FISHING TOURNAMENT). THIS TOURNAMENT IS AN EVENT DEVOTED TO RAISING MONEY FOR THEIR GOOD FRIENDS AT CAMP JOHN MARC. THIS TOURNAMENT IS EVER EXPANDING AND WAS FOUNDED OUT OF A LOVE FOR FISHING AND BENEFITTING OTHERS.LAKE FORK CLASSIC FOLLOWS THE BIBLE SCRIPTURE 1PETER 4:10. "AS EACH HAS RECEIVED A GIFT, USE IT TO SERVE ONE ANOTHER, AS GOOD STEWARDS OF GOD'S VARIED GRACE."LAKE FORK CLASSIC LLC DONATES A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF THEIR PROCEEDS TO CAMP JOHN MARC (CJM). CJM IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT CREATES A HIGH QUALITY YEAR ROUND CAMPING EXPERIENCES FOR CHRONICALLY ILL AND DISABLED CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. SINCE 2010 LFC HAS RAISED OVER $220,000 FOR CJM.CJM INSPIRES CONFIDENCE FOR LIFE THROUGH HIGH-QUALITY CAMPING PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN, TEENS, AND FAMILIES. YEAR ROUND PROGRAMMIMG AND SPECIALIZED CAMP FACILITIES ARE UNIQUELY DESIGNED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE DALLAS-FORT WORTH AREA PEDIATRIC HOSPITALS, COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS, AND HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS WHO ARE DEDICATED TO SERVING CAMPERS LIVING WITH CHRONIC MEDICAL AND PHYSICAL CHALLENGES. THE DIGNITY OF EACH CAMPER IS NURTURED AT CJM AS WELL AS IN THE COMMUNITY THROUGH ITS OUTREACH PROGRAMS. THE FUNDS DONATED TO CJM FROM LAKE FORK CLASSIC ARE USED FOR ALLOWING KIDS TO ATTEND CAMP FOR FREE OF CHARGE. IN 1991, CJM WELCOMED 500 CAMPERS OVER EIGHT WEEKS DURING ITS INAUGURAL SUMMER. ALMOST 25 YEARS LATER, CJM CURRENTLY HOSTS ELEVEN WEEK-LONG SUMMER CAMPS AND OVER 25 WEEKENDS. ON AVERAGE, OVDER 3,000 CHILDREN, TEENS, AND FAMILY MEMBERS ATTEND A CJM CAMP EVERY YEAR.
