THE PARADIGM CHALLENGE: THE PARADIGM CHALLENGE IS AN INNOVATION COMPETITION THAT INSPIRES YOUTH AGED 4 TO 18 TO USE STEM SKILLS PLUS KINDNESS, CREATIVITY, AND COLLABORATION TO HELP SOLVE IMPORTANT PROBLEMS. MORE THAN 100,000 YOUTH HAVE PARTICIPATED SO FAR. THE FIRST ANNUAL CHALLENGE INVITED YOUTH TO CREATE NEW WAYS TO REDUCE INJURIES AND FATALITIES FROM HOME FIRES, THE SECOND ANNUAL CHALLENGE INVITED YOUTH TO GENERATE NEW IDEAS TO REDUCE WASTE. THE THIRD ANNUAL CHALLENGE INVITES YOUTH TO SUBMIT IDEAS TO IMPROVE PERSONAL HEALTH THROUGH WELLNESS AND/OR HEALING. THE FOURTH ANNUAL CHALLENGE SEEKS IDEAS TO IMPROVE FOOD SECURITY AND/OR ADDRESS ANY OF THE THREE PRIOR CHALLENGE TOPICS. THE FIFTH CHALLENGE, AS WELL AS THE CURRENT CHALLENGE, SEEKS IDEAS TO IMPROVE BIODIVERSITY AND/OR ANY OF THE FIRST FOUR CHALLENGE PROJECTS.
