WORLD WATER PROJECT'S PRIMARY ACTIVITIES INCLUDE RELIEF TO THE POOR, DISTRESSED AND UNDERPRIVILEGED IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. ALSO, TO DEVELOP AND DISTRIBUTE SAFE WATER FILTRATION SYSTEMS AND PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES RELATING TO WATER PURIFICATION, SANITIZATION AND FILTRATION SYSTEMS.

IN 2022, WORLD WATER PROJECT SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED ITS SUPPORT IN ROMANIA IN RESPONSE TO THE EMERGING UKRANIAN REFUGEE CRISIS AS THEY CROSSED THE BORDER INTO ROMANIA. HUNDREDS OF UKRANIAN REFUGEES, PRIMARILY WOMEN AND CHILDREN, WERE SUPPORTED WITH FOOD, LODGING, AND LOGISTICAL HELP IN MOVING TO OTHER AREAS OF EUROPE. THE ORGANIZATION'S WORK IN ROMANIA ALSO SUPPORTS A LOCAL MINISTRY THAT SERVES CHILDREN AND FAMILIES THAT STRUGGLE FINANCIALLY.
OTHER PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE: JESUS LEADERSHIP NETWORK: WORLD WATER PROJECT SOLELY SUPPORTS THE WORK OF THE CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY "JESUS LEADERSHIP NETWORK" THAT REACHES SEVERAL MAJOR CITIES AROUND UGANDA. OVER 100 SMALL GROUPS THAT REPRESENT OVER 700 PEOPLE MEET ON A WEEKLY BASIS TO STUDY MATERIALS PROVIDED BY THE MINISTRY. IN ADDITION, THE JLN STAFF PROVIDE LEADERSHIP, ORGANIZATION, AND OVERSIGHT FOR THIS GROWING MINISTRY.EMBRACE CHILDRENS FOUNDATION (FORMERLY FOCUS CHILD PROJECT): WORLD WATER PROJECT PROVIDES FUNDING AND CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THIS CHILD SPONSORSHIP MINISTRY THAT SERVES 150 CHILDREN. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES FULL PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES, A WEEKLY SATURDAY DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAM AND FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES TO THE FAMILIES. ALL OF THE CHILDREN/FAMILIES LIVE IN THE SLUMS OF KAMPALA AND LIVE ON ONLY A FEW DOLLARS PER DAY. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO LOCAL AFRICAN PASTORS AND THEIR ORGANIZATIONS TO AID IN THEIR OUTREACH TO THE POOR AND NEEDY IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.
WORLD WATER PROJECT HAS PARTNERED WITH THE WENTZ MEDICAL CLINIC TO ESTABLISH A BEACON OF HOPE IN SOME OF KAMPALA'S MOST VULNERABLE SLUM POPULATIONS. WORLD WATER PROJECT CONTINUES TO SUPPORT THE MEDICAL WORK OF THE CLINIC IN UGANDA. WENTZ PROVIDES MEDICAL CARE TO THE POOR AND UNDERSERVED IN UGANDA THROUGH A NETWORK OF CLINICS. ADDITIONALLY, WORLD WATER PROJECT SUPPORTS A WENTZ CLINIC THAT OPERATES IN A KAMPALA SLUM AND PROVIDES FREE MEDICAL CARE AND MEDICINES TO HUNDREDS OF FAMILIES LIVING IN THE AREA. IN 2022, WORLD WATER PROJECT DONATED MONEY TO FEED FAMILIES THAT HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY THE DROUGHT IN THE KABERMAIDO ARE OF UGANDA. THE FUNDS PROVIDED WERE USED TO BUY SEVERAL TONS OF GRAIN THAT WERE DISTRIBUTED TO OVER 10,000 HOMES. THE NATIONAL NEWS MEDIA IN UGANDA REPORTED ON THIS EFFORT TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING OF THESE FAMILIES.
WORLD WATER PROJECT THROUGH ITS TIVAWATER PROJECT, AIMS TO PROVIDE CLEAN DRINKING WATER TO THE POOREST PEOPLE IN THE DEVELOPING WORLD. IN 2022, WORLD WATER PROJECT DISTRIBUTED TIVAWATER FILTERS TO 1,400 FAMILIES (ESTIMATED 12,000 FAMILY MEMBERS) IN UGANDA AND GUATEMALA. THIS UNIQUE BIOSAND WATER FILTER CAN BE USED FOR OVER TEN YEARS AND IMPROVES THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF THE FAMILIES THAT RECEIVE THEM. TEAMS FROM WORLD WATER PROJECT ROUTINELY MAKE VISITS TO HOMES THAT USE THE FILTERS TO ASSESS THE SUCCESS OF THE PROGRAM.
