TALENT DEVELOPMENT - OCF HAS SUPPORTED A TALENT DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE AS AN ELEMENT OF ITS OVERALL STRATEGY FOR CAREER AWARENESS. A MAJOR INITIATIVE UNDER THIS STRATEGY WAS SUPPORT FOR DEVELOPMENT OF CURRICULUM, LOGISTICS AND SUPPORTING MATERIALS FOR AN EVENT FOR HIGH SCHOOL SOPHOMORES ON NATIONAL MANUFACTURING DAY. ANOTHER INITIATIVE WAS A SERIES OF EVENTS AND TOURS FOR ALL EIGHTH GRADERS IN KOSCIUSKO COUNTY. THIS PROGRAM INCLUDED IN-CLASS CONTENT AND VIRTUAL TOURS OF VARIOUS TRAINING AND INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES IN KOSCIUSKO COUNTY.
TALENT ATTRACTION - OCF CONTINUES TO SUPPORT A VARIETY OF EFFORTS RELATED TO DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION AND QUALITY OF PLACE IN NORTHEASTERN INDIANA THROUGH INITIATIVES SUCH AS A LOCAL DIVERSITY COUNCIL; CITY OF WARSAW FIRST FRIDAY EVENTS; THE "CELEBRATING US" DIVERSITY FESTIVAL; THE COMMITTEE TO COMMEMORATE MARTIN LUTHER KING; AND VARIOUS REGIONAL QUALITY OF PLACE INITIATIVES.
