DURING THE FYE 6/30/20 PERIOD THE PCHS BAND BOOSTERS, INC. PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY 114 HIGH SCHOOL BAND MEMBERS WITH UNIFORM CLOTHING, MEALS TRAVEL AND CONCERT BAND EXPENSES FOR THE VARIOUS HIGH SCHOOL BAND ACTIVITIES FOR THE PCHS BAND IN FLORIDA. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDED TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS, MUSIC AND BAND EQUIPMENT FOR USE BY ALL MEMBERS OF THE BAND. THIS SUPPORT SUPPLEMENTED THE STIPEND RECEIVED FOR THE PORT CHARLOTTE HIGH SCHOOL BAND FROM THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY FLORIDA SCHOOL BOARD TO OPERATE THE BAND PROGRAM AT THE PC HIGH SCHOOL. 5 PAID INSTRUCTORS AND MANY VOLUNTEERS HELPED WITH THE TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION AND MUSIC FOR THE BAND MEMBERS THAT NEEDED THE HELP. DURING THE FALL FOOTBALL GAME MARCHING SEASON APPROXIMATELY 90 MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS WERE PROVIDED A MEAL FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION IN ONE OF THE FOOTBALL HALFTIME SHOWS AND THEN SITTING IN THE STANDS WITH THE PCHS BAND FOR THE REST OF THE GAMES TO ENCOURAGE THEM TO CONTINUE THEIR MUSICAL ABILITIES AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL WHEN THEY GET THERE. THE ANNUAL BAND BANQUET WAS UNABLE TO BE HELD DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, HOEVER IN MAY 2020 WE WERE ABLE TO CELEBRAT THE SENIOR BAND STUDENTS. 21 STUDENTS ATTENDED THIS CEREMONY. AND THE NON-PERISHABLE FOOD FUNDRAISER FOR THE LOCAL FOOD BANK WAS A HUGE SUCCESS. THE BOOSTERS HAD 53 PARENTS AND BOOSTER FRIENDS VOLUNTEERS WHO HELPED WITH THE VARIOUS PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES FOR THE PCHS BAND IN THE FYE 6/30/20.
