CARING FOR MIAMI EXISTS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY THROUGH LIFE-AFFIRMING SERVICES, PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING, HEALTH SCEENING AND DENTAL SERVICES.

COUNSELING AND AWARENESS ON ALTERNATIVES TO ABORTION, SUPPORT AND POST ABORTION COUNSELINGS, ADOPTION OPTIONS AND CRISIS COUNSELING. VISITS TO THE CENTERS - 951, PREGNANCY TESTS ADMINISTERED - 511, ULTRASOUNDS PERFORMED - 214, PARENTING CLASSES - 48.


MOBILE UNIT - OPERATING A MOBILE MEDICAL UNIT FOR DENTAL SERVICES AND MEDICAL SCREENING SERVICES. APPROXIMATELY 28 EVENTS HELD WHERE 561 PATIENTS WERE SEEN AND PROVIDED WITH OVER 870 MEDICAL SERVICES AND 1,550 DENTAL SERVICES.


COUNSELING INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES, PROVIDING THERAPEUTIC AND PSYCHO- DECUATIONAL CLASSES. APPROXIMATELY 800 PEOPLE SERVED (TOTALING MORE THAN 3,300 SESSIONS). 5% OF THE SERVICES WERE PROVIDED PRO BONO (NO CHARGE) AND APPROXIMATELY 20% WERE AT REDUCED FEES BELOW THE MINIMUM STANDARD RATE.
