COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT EVENTS - FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR OFFICERS TO CONTRIBUTE TO AND PROVIDE EDUCATION WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITY. (A) OFFICERS SUPPORT DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN AND FAMILIES DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON AND BACK TO SCHOOL SEASON, INVOLVING ACTIVITIES LIKE SCHOOL SUPPLY SHOPPING WITH KIDS, THANKSGIVING TURKEY GIVEAWAYS, AND CHRISTMAS GIFT DONATIONS. (B) OFFERING YOUTH-FOCUSED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY, SUCH AS SUMMER LEADERSHIP CAMPS.

ASSISTING OFFICER REQUIREMENTS - OFFERING RESOURCES AND ITEMS ESSENTIAL FOR OFFICERS TO FULFILL THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES, WHICH ARE NOT COVERED BY GOVERNMENT FUNDING. SUCH SUPPORT COVERS SUPPLEMENTAL TRAINING, EXTRA SUPPLIES FOR PATROL VEHICLES, AND NECESSARY EQUIPMENT FOR OFFICER SUPPORT. HISTORICALLY, ACQUISITIONS HAVE COMPRISED TOURNIQUETS, AERIAL DRONES, PHOTOGRAPHIC GEAR, BICYCLES, AMONG OTHERS.
