MAY SEPTEMBER: AIYM HIGH ADVENTURE CAMP, ALAMOSA, CO: AIYM SPENT THE SUMMER OF 2021 MINISTERING TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND MANY FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS AT THE AIYM HIGH ADVENTURE CAMP. DUE TO THE COLORADO CHILD CARE LICENSING COVID REQUIREMENTS, AIYM DID NOT OPEN TO YOUTH CAMPERS BUT TO ENTIRE FAMILIES. AIYM FACILITATED OPERATION CAMP HOPE, AN 8 DAY TRAINING SEMINAR FOR 5 FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN WHO WERE ADOPTED OUT OF THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM. THESE CHILDREN SUFFER FROM R.A.D. (REACTIVE ATTACHMENT DISORDER). THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 60 PEOPLE WHO VOLUNTEERED FOR THIS TRAINING SEMINAR TO HELP FAMILIES LEARN HOW TO DEAL WITH R.A.D. THE CHILDREN WERE FROM VERY TRAUMATIC SITUATIONS AND THEIR ADOPTIVE PARENTS LEARNED NEW TECHNIQUES ON HOW TO HELP THEM FEEL OUR HEAVENLY FATHER'S LOVE, AS WELL AS THEIR OWN LOVE. AIYM MANAGED A DISPERSED CAMPING SITE TO HOST OVERNIGHT GUESTS.HOSTED MANY OVERNIGHT GUESTS THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER, AS WELL AS CONDUCTED WEEKLY CHURCH SERVICES, WHICH INCLUDED A FELLOWSHIP LUNCHEON AT THE ALAMOSA CANYON CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP.
