Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
ELEOS TAKES ITS NAME FROM THE GREEK WORD FOR MERCY. WE EXIST TO SERVE AND EQUIP NICHOLTOWN RESIDENTS IN THEIR GOD-GIVEN POTENTIAL, FOR THE GOOD OF THE COMMUNITY. WE DO THIS THROUGH WEEKLY BASKETBALL OUTREACH, AN AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM, AND A LEADERSHIP PROGRAM. ELEOS PROVIDED 2440 MEALS FOR STUDENTS THROUGH OUR PROGRAMS, WE SERVED 164 STUDENTS THROUGH OUR AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM AND THROUGH OUR BASKETBALL OUTREACH IN THE YEAR 2021.
GOAT (GREAT OUTDOOR ADVENTURE TRIPS) SERVES STUDENTS FROM UNDER-RESOURCED COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT GREENVILLE, HELPING THEM DISCOVER THEIR GOD-GIVEN POTENTIAL THROUGH OUTDOOR ADVENTURE TRIPS. GOAT PROVIDED 59 OUTDOOR ADVENTURES FOR 330 STUDENTS THROUGHOUT GREENVILLE, IN THE YEAR 2021.
THE MISSION OF REACH IS TO SEE TODAY'S INCARCERATED YOUTH BECOME TOMORROW'S LEADERS. WE DO THIS BY INTERRUPTING THE CYCLE OF VIOLENCE, INTRODUCING HOLISTIC YOUTH DEVELOPMENT SERVICES, AND PREVENTING YOUTH FROM ENTERING THE ADULT PRISON SYSTEM. WE WORK DIRECTLY WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF JUVENILE JUSTICE. SOME OF OUR STUDENTS ARE CURRENTLY INCARCERATED, SOME ARE RETURNING HOME FROM THE DETENTION FACILITY, AND OTHERS ARE ON PROBATION. WE SERVE THESE STUDENTS THROUGH A ONE YEAR PROGRAM, TRANSITIONING STUDENTS THROUGH FOUR GROWTH PHASES THAT LEAD TO THEIR GRADUATION FROM THE PROGRAM. WE SERVED 20 STUDENTS AND SHARED 160 MEALS THROUGH OUR PROGRAMS IN 2021.
