COMPASS OFFERS A FULL RANGE OF PRO BONO CONSULTING SERVICES FOR NONPROFITS AT ANY STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT. THROUGH FIVE SERVICE LINES, WE HELP NONPROFITS ADDRESS KEY STRATEGIC CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN AREAS LIKE BOARD DEVELOPMENT, MARKETING, STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT, AND FUNDING. IN 2020-2021, COMPASS' TURNED OUR HIGHLY PERSONAL, IN-PERSON PROGRAM INTO A HIGHLY PERSONAL, VIRTUAL PROGRAM. THROUGH OUR TEAM-BASED CLASSIC AND MICRO PROJECTS, WE SUPPORTED 93 NONPROFITS. THROUGH OUR COVID-RESPONSE ON DEMAND PROJECTS, WE CONNECTED 106 NONPROFITS EACH WITH AN INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT. OVERALL, 829 BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS VOLUNTEERED 73,268 CONSULTING HOURS TO 185 NONPROFITS.
THE SORKIN CENTER FOR NONPROFIT GOVERNANCE AT COMPASS MODERATED NINE COMPASS CONNECT CONVERSATIONS AND PILOTED A COHORT FOR 23 NONPROFIT LEADERS SERVING CHILDREN AND YOUTH. WE ALSO MATCHED 36 PEOPLE ONTO 33 NONPROFIT BOARDS. THE FOURTH ANNUAL SORKIN SUMMIT WAS HELD IN MAY 2021. THE SUMMIT OFFERED TRAININGS ON GOVERNANCE, NONPROFIT FINANCE, THE BOARD'S ROLE IN FUNDRAISING, AND ESTABLISHING AND SUPPORTING A DIVERSE AND INCLUSIVE BOARD. 115 BOARD MEMBERS AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS ATTENDED THE TRAININGS.
