THE MISSION OF LA SALLE INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION IS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR EDUCATIONAL, HEALTH, AND HUMAN SERVICES, AS WELL AS HUMANITARIAN RELIEF TO PEOPLES IN COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD WITHOUT DISCRIMINATING ON THE BASIS OF RACE, RELIGION, GENDER, NATIONALITY, OR SEXUAL ORIENTATION.

LA SALLE INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION AWARDED 35 EDUCATIONAL GRANTS DURING FYE 2022. THESE GRANTS PROMOTED EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES CENTERED PRIMARILY IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES WORLDWIDE. GRANTS INCREASED ACCESS, AFFORDABILITY, AND/OR ACADEMIC QUALITY BY SPONSORING COMMODITIES, CONSTRUCTION, FEMALE ACCESS PROGRAMS, PROGRAMS FOR PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY CHALLENGED CHILDREN, SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN, AND EDUCATIONALLY-EXCLUDED MINORITIES. DURING THE COVID-PANDEMIC, SOME EDUCATIONAL FUNDS WERE USED TO SUPPORT DISTANCE LEARNING OR IN-SCHOOL MODIFICATIONS FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING.
LA SALLE INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION AWARDED 5 HUMANITARIAN GRANTS DURING FYE 2022. THESE HUMANITARIAN GRANTS FUNDED COVID AND NON-COVID EMERGENCY RELIEF EFFORTS WORLDWIDE, LARGELY THROUGH COLLABORATIONS WITH THE DE LA SALLE SOLIDARITY AND DEVELOPMENT SECRETARIAT. IN RESPONDING TO THE COVID 19 APPEAL, LA SALLE INTERNATIONAL JOINED WITH 23 OTHER NGOS TO ASSIST SCHOOLS AND FAMILIES IN FRAGILE SECTORS OF THE WORLD. EMERGENCY RELIEF GRANTS WERE MADE TO SEVERAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN LEBANON FOR THE HUMANITARIAN CARE OF FAMILIES IMPACTED BY THE BEIRUT EXPLOSION.
LA SALLE INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION AWARDED 10 HEALTH GRANTS DURING FYE 2022. THESE GRANTS FUNDED EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF YOUNG CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE DEVELOPING WORLD. WHILE MOST FUNDING WENT TO LOCATIONS STRUGGLING WITH HEALTH ISSUES RELATED TO COVID-19, FUNDS WERE ALSO USED TO ASSIST HIV+ AND HIV-AFFECTED CHILDREN, PROVIDE FEMALE SANITARY AND HEALTH PRODUCTS TO SCHOOL GIRLS AND WOMEN, AND SUPPORT NUTRITION PROGRAMS FOR UNDERNOURISHED AND MALNOURISHED CHILDREN.
