THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTS A NUMBER OF OUTREACH PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO AID THE CITYS POOR AND HOMELESS BY OPERATING A CAFE AND THRIFT STORE TO SERVICE THE CITYS POOR.

CAFE AND FOOD PANTRY-THE CAFE WAS OPENED TO PROVIDE A MEAL AND CUP OF COFFEE TO THE CITYS POOREST RESIDENTS. THE CAFE IS SUPPORTED BY FREE-WILL OFFERINGS. NO ONE IS TURNED AWAY BECAUSE THEY ARE UNABLE TO MAKE A CONTRIBUTION. IT IS OPEN 365 DAYS PER YEAR. IN ADDITION TO A LIMITED MEAL SCHEDULE, THE CAFE HOSTS HOLIDAY BREAKFASTS AND A MONTHLY BIRTHDAY PARTY CELEBRATION FOR THE POOR. THE FOOD PANTRY PROVIDES EMERGENCY FOOD AND A MONTHLY FOOD PANTRY DISTRIBUTION.
THRIFT SHOP AND USED FURNITURE SALES-DONATIONS RECEIVD ARE CLEANED, WASHED AND THEN SOLD TO THE PUBLIC. CLOTHING IS GIVEN TO THE POOREST RESIDENTS THAT CANNOT AFFORD TO PURCHASE THESE ITEMS.
INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS-THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORS SHORT-TERM MISSIONARY TRIPS TO HONDURAS AND HAITI. THESE TRIPS ARE MANNED BY A NETWORK OF VOLUNTEERS FROM ACROSS THE USA . EACH TRIP HELPS TO ESTABLISH, GUIDE AND MAINTAIN WORK PROJECTS AMONG THE HONDURAN AND HAITIAN PEOPLES. EACH VOLUNTEER RAISES THE FUNDS NEEDED TO COVER THEIR TRAVEL AND PERSONAL NEEDS WHICH ARE ADMINISTERED BY COMMON GROUND. MINISTRIES, INC.
