OUR FOCUS IS ON YOUTH DEVELOPMENT IN OUR COMMUNITY. L. OUR GENERATION-2-GENERATION PROGRAM LINKS 500 STUDENTS ALL KINDERGATRTEN AND 3RD GRADERS IN THE DISTRICT TO ESTABLISH RELATIONSHIPS TO RESIDENTS OF SENIOR LIVING FACILITIES. 2. OUR FARM-2-TABLE SERVED 225 STUDENTS, ALL 1ST GRADERS IN THE DISTRICT --AS THEY ENGAGE IN EXPERIMENTAL ACTIVITIES WHERE THEY BECOME MORE AWARE OF THE SOURCE OF ALL FOODS THAT THEY EAT. 3. OUR SCHOOL-2-FARM PROGRAM SERVED ALL 220 SECOND GRADERS IN THE DISTRICT. STUDENTS HARVEST IN THE FALL AND PLANT IN THE SPRING IN OUR 1.5 ACRE COMMUNITY GARDEN. 4. OUR TALENTS-2-STRENGTHS PROGRAM ASSISTS 4TH GRADERS IN DISCOVERING THEIR INDIVIDUAL TALENTS INCREASING AWARENESS AND APPRECIATION OF THEMSELVES AS WELL AS OTHERS. 5. OUR LEARN-2-SERVE PROGRAM WILL FOCUS ON 5TH GRADERS WITH THE GOAL OF GUIDING STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND AND APPRECIATE THE VALUE OF SERVING IN THEIR COMMUNITY. 6. OUR LEARN-2-GROW PROGRAM WORKS WITH APPROXIMATELY 100 SUMMER CAMP STUDENTS AT THE YMCA AND 50 YOUTH THAT RESIDE IN UNDER RESOURCED AREAS.
