THE CHATTANOOGA GIRLS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY WAS FOUNDED IN 2009 AS THE FIRST SINGLE GENDER PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE. THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE SCHOOL IS TO PROVIDE A STEM FOCUSED EDUCATION TO YOUNG WOMEN IN HAMILTON COUNTY WHOSE ACADEMIC NEEDS ARE OTHERWISE NOT BEING SERVED.
