CCI'S MISSION IS TO ESTABLISH CREDIBLE CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS THAT PROVIDE VALUE TO CERTIFICANTS, THEIR CLIENTS AND THE PUBLIC. IT IS THE GOAL OF ACAC TO SERVE THE PUBLIC INTEREST WITH INTEGRITY AS AN INDEPENDENT CERTIFYING BODY.

(CCI), OPERATING UNDER THE THE NAME AMERICAN COUNCIL FOR ACCREDITED CERTIFICATION (ACAC), IS NORTH AMERICA'S OLDEST AND MOST PRESTIGIOUS CERTIFYING BODY DEDICATED TO INDOOR AIR QUALITY, AND HAS EXPANDED ITS EXPERTISE IN CERTIFICATIONS TO OTHER INDUSTRIES. CCI OFFERS CONSULTATION SERVICES IN THE FIELD OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN CERTIFICATION. ACAC IS A PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALING BODY.CERTIFICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO PASS CERTIFICATION EXAMS, KEEP INFORMED OF INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENTS THROUGH BROADCAST E-MAILS, PUBLICATIONS AND ACCESSING THE ACAC WEBSITE. ALL PROGRAMS ARE PAID THROUGH CERTIFICATION DUES AND OTHER FEES PAID TO ACAC, ACAC SELLS NO ADVERTISING, PUBLICATIONS OR PRODUCTS.CERTIFICANTS ARE ALSO REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN AND DOCUMENT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, INCLUDING TAKING ONLINE EXAMINATIONS ON INDUSTRY-ACCEPTED PUBLICATIONS AND STANDARDS. CANDIDATES FOR ACAC CERTIFICATIONS MUST DEMONSTRATE VERIFIABLE FIELD EXPERIENCE ON A WRITTEN APPLICATION BEFORE TAKING CERTIFICATION EXAMS.ACAC IS THE ONLY CERTIFYING BODY IN THE INDOOR AIR QUALITY (IAQ) FIELD TO ACHIEVE INDEPENDENT THIRD-PARTY ACCREDITATION FROM THE COUNCIL OF ENGINEERING AND SCIENTIFIC SPECIALTY BOARDS, AND THE NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR CERTIFIYING AGENCIES.
