AMONG THE EXEMPT PURPOSE ACHIEVEMENTS FOR THIS FISCAL YEAR WAS THE DIRECT ONE-TO ONE INSTRUCTION AND SMALL CLASSES TO REMEDIATE THE PROCESSES AND SKILLS MOST DIRECTLY AFFECTED BY LEARNING DIFFERENCES. THE SCHOOL CREATES CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENTS IN WHICH EXPECTATIONS FOR STUDENT PERFORMANCE IN AREAS RELATED TO LEARNING DIFFERENCES ARE CONTROLLED TO ENCOURAGE A HIGH RATE OF SUCCESS, THEREBY SUPPORTING THE REMEDIAL PROCESS. AT THE SAME TIME, CONTENT AREA INSTRUCTION IS PRESENTED AT THE STUDENT'S LEVEL OF COGNITIVE ABILITY NOT IMPEDED BY THE LEARNING DIFFERENCES, AND IS APPROPRIATE FOR THE AGE AND GRADE IN SCHOOL.
