GIRLPARTS FEST: USING ART TO CREATE AWARENESS OF OVARIAN CANCER, NORMALEAH OVARIAN CANCER INITIATIVE (NORMALEAH) PRESENTED ITS SECOND GIRLPARTS FEST IN CLEVELAND, OHIO. IT INCLUDED LIVE MUSIC FROM THREE BANDS AND A DOZEN VISUAL ARTISTS.
BEAT THE BIG O CAMPAIGN: NORMALEAH DISTRIBUTES SYMPTOM CARDS AT HEALTH FAIRS AND WOMENS EVENTS, MEDICAL FACILITIES, AND BUSINESSES WITH A PRIMARILY FEMALE CLIENTELE. ABOUT 50,000 BEAT SYMPTOM CARDS AND 3,000 BREAST2BELLY BOOKMARKS WERE DISTRIBUTED AND THE ORGANIZATION SPOKE WITH MORE THAN 500 WOMEN THROUGH THEIR SISTERLY ADVICE EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS.
