RESEARCH CENTER - HAVING THE PAL GIFT SHOP OPEN AT LEAST SEVERAL DAYS A WEEK HAS HELPED IMPROVE AWARENESS AND UTILIZATION OF THE RESEARCH CENTER (LIBRARY AND ARCHIVE). THERE WERE NO SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN IN THE RESEARCH CENTER IN 2021. WE SIMPLY MAINTAINED THE LIBRARY AND THE ARCHIVE AND ENCOURAGED USE OF THESE RESOURCES.
INTERNSHIP - THE FOUNDATION HOSTED A HIGH SCHOOL INTERN FROM SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO FROM JANUARY THROUGH MAY OF 2021. THE INTERN LEARNED ABOUT LATIN AMERICAN FOLK ART, MET COLLECTORS AND ARTISTS, AND GOT HER FEET WET WITH RUNNING A SMALL RETAIL OPERATION.
PAL GIFT SHOP - THE GIFT SHOP SOLD FOLK ART MADE BY INDIGENOUS ARTISTS, BOTH PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THOSE ARTISTS AND IMPROVING AWARENESS OF FOLK ART IN THE SANTA FE COMMUNITY.
EXHIBITION - THE OAXACA FILM WAS COMPLETED DURING THE FIRST HALF OF 2021. IT IS AVAILABLE ON THE FOUNDATION'S WEBSITE. WORK WAS ALSO BEGUN ON A NEW WEBSITE THAT WILL INCLUDE AN ONLINE SHOP. THE NEW WEBSITE WILL LAUNCH IN JANUARY 2022.
