PROGRAMS TO MOBILIZE VOLUNTEERS:GIVING DUPAGE CONNECTS VOLUNTEERS & DONORS WITH LOCAL OPPORTUNITIES TO GIVE BACK THROUGH A VOLUNTEER PORTAL WEBSITE - GIVINGDUPAGE.ORG/VOLUNTEERS. THERE ARE 775+ LOCAL VOLUNTEER & IN-KIND DONATION OPPORTUNITIES FEATURED AT THE PORTAL SITE. IN 2021, OVER 1,200 VOLUNTEERS - OR 3 PER DAY. SINCE 2006, GIVING DUPAGE HAS PROVIDED OVER 14,250 VOLUNTEER CONNECTIONS TO OVER 400 LOCAL NONPROFIT PARTNERS. GIVING DUPAGE ALSO HAS A BOARD MATCH PROGRAM TO RECRUIT, MATCH, PLACE AND TRAIN INDIVIDUAL PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES FOR NONPROFIT BOARD SERVICE.
PROGRAMS TO BUILD CAPACITY:GIVING DUPAGE HOSTED ITS 2ND ANNUAL GIVING DUPAGE DAYS, WITH 2,855 DONORS WHO RAISED $392,296 FOR 103 LOCAL CHARITIES. THIS EVENT HELPED MANY NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS DURING THE PANDEMIC, WITHOUT DEDICATING STAFF TIME AND RESOURCES.
