VILLAGE COMMUNITY BOATHOUSE OFFERS FREE COMMUNITY ROWING TWO DAYS PER WEEK PIER 40 ON THE HUDSON RIVER AND ONCE WEEKLY IN BROOKLYN'S PROSPECT PARK. THE BOATHOUSE ALSO HOSTS HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE AGED ROWERS AT VARIOUS EVENTS DURING THE YEAR. COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS ARE ALSO ENGAGED TO LEARN ABOUT SMALL BOAT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR AS PART OF OUR COMMUNITY BOATBUILDING PROGRAM. IN A TYPICAL YEAR, OVER 1,000 PEOPLE PARTICIPATE IN THESE PROGRAMS.
