COMPLIMENTARY TO THE HONOR FLIGHT, OPERATION LOCATE A HERO (OLAH) FINDS SENIOR VETERANS IN THEIR COMMUNITIES TO HONOR THEIR SERVICE. ORGINALLY CONCEIVED TO RECRUIT VETERANS TO FLY ON THE HONOR FLIGHT, OLAH HAS EVOLVED DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC INTO COMMUNITY-BASED PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF GRATITUDE IN ADDITION TO RECRUITING VETERANS TO FLY.


VETERAN ALUMNI ARE CONNECTED TO LOCAL SCHOOLS TO BOTH BE HONORED BY THE STUDENTS AND TO SERVE AS LIVING HISTORY RESOURCES, INSPIRING STUDENTS TO LEARN ABOUT THE SERVICE AND SACRIFICE OF OUR VETERAN. A COMMITTEE OF VOLUNTEER EDUCATORS LEADS THIS PROGRAM'S EFFORTS.
