MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL CHARITIES (CHARITIES) IS A TYPE I SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL LEAGUES, INC., A FLORIDA NONPROFIT CORPORATION (THE "ASSOCIATION") DESCRIBED IN SECTION 501(C)(6) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE (THE "CODE").CHARITIES WAS ORGANIZED TO SUPPORT THE ASSOCIATION'S CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES IN SUPPORT OF COMMUNITIES IN WHICH THE ASSOCIATION'S ACTIVITIES ARE LOCATED AND CONTINUES TO OPERATE IN THIS CAPACITY. EXAMPLES OF SUPPORT MAY INCLUDE GRANTS FOR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, FUNDING OF INNER-CITY SPORTS PROGRAMS, DISASTER RELIEF WHERE COMMUNITIES HAVE BEEN NEGATIVELY AFFECTED BY NATURAL DISASTERS AND GRANTS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN COMMUNITIES IN WHICH MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION ARE LOCATED.
