NETBALL AMERICA IS THE LEADING AUTHORITY ON NETBALL IN THE USA. WE ARE FOCUSED ON SHOWING HOW NETBALL CREATES AN EXCITING ATMOSPHERE OF PARTICIPATION AND SUPPORTS INDIVIDUAL PROGRESS, TEAM UNITY, GOOD HEALTH AND EDUCATION OF YOUTH, WHILE UNITING COMMUNITIES FOR POSITIVE CHANGE. OUR AIM IS TO ENCOURAGE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES TO BE PHYSICALLY ACTIVE, MAINTAIN A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE AND INCLUDES THOSE WITH DISABILITIES TO ENSURE THEY FEEL PART OF THEIR COMMUNITY. WE ARE USING THE SPORT OF NETBALL AS A VEHICLE FOR SOCIAL CHANGE.

BE AN INSPIRATION, READY SET NET & NET TOGETHER PROGRAMS ARE NETBALL AMERICA'S TRADEMARKED PROGRAMS THAT USES NETBALL AS A PLATFORM TO EMPOWER YOUTH FOR PEACE AND STRONG FUTURES, WHILE INCREASING PARTICIPATION IN SPORTS, REDUCING OBESITY, REDUCING DISCRIMINATION AND INCREASING SOCIAL EMOTIONAL WELLBEING. THIS ALSO INCLUDES TEACHER AND STUDENTS NETBALL EDUCATION AND COACHING SESSIONS. BOTH VIRTUAL AND INPERSON PROGRAMMING WERE DELIVERED. DURING 2022 WE REACHED 25,000 YOUTH AND 6,000 PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS. WE ARE THE LEADERS IN INTRODUCING NETBALL INTO SCHOOLS ACROSS THE USA. WE PARTNER WITH A NUMBER OF NATIONAL AND LOCAL COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL AS SCHOOL DISTRICTS. OUR TRADEMARKED CURRICULUM IS DELIVERED BY QUALIFIED COACHES AND PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE VARIOUS PRINT MATERIALS. OUR COACHES ARE SAFE SPORT CERTIFIED, UNDERGO INTERVIEWS AND BACKGROUND CHECKS, MUST AGREE AND ADHERE TO OUR CHILD PROTECTION POLICIES AND RECEIVE QUARTERLY VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON TRAINING. THESE PROGRAMS ARE PROVIDED FREE AND WE RELY ON GRANTS, SPONSORS AND DONORS TO FUND THESE PROGRAMS. OUR TARGET IS UNDERSERVED YOUTH, PRIMARILY GIRLS. NETBALL AMERICA IS ALSO INVITED TO SPEAK AT NUMEROUS US AND GLOBAL SPORT AND EDUCATION CONFERENCES. WE HAVE ALSO BEEN THE RECIPIENT OF MANY US AND GLOBAL AWARDS FOR THIS PROGRAM.
USA NETBALL TEAMS: A SQUAD OF 50 AMERICAN ATHLETES WHO TRAIN MONTHLY IN A DIFFERENT CITY EACH MONTH. THE PURPOSE OF THIS IS TO DEVELOP ATHLETES ON AN ELITE PATHWAY TO GET THEM AT A LEVEL IN LINE WITH INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS. THESE TEAMS CONSIST OF ALL GENDERS. APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN YEAR-ROUND FOR ATHLETES, COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS TO APPLY TO BE A PART OF THIS TEAM. THE TEAM WON THE CHICAGO NETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS AND WAS RUNNER UP IN THE NETBALL CUP US OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. AS NETBALL IS A DEVELOPING SPORT IN THE USA, THE ATHLETES WHO ARE SELECTED MUST EMBODY WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A MENTOR TO YOUNGER ATHLETES AS WELL AS STAND AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF NETBALL IN THE COMMUNITY. VOLUNTEERING THEIR TIME AT OUR EVENTS IS ALSO EXPECTED.
US OPEN NETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS: THIS SEES AN ADULT EVENT EVERY NOVEMBER AND A JUNIOR EVENT IN APRIL. THE ADULT CHAMPIONSHIPS IS A 3 DAY EDUCATION AND NATIONAL NETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS THAT HAS A PARTICIPATE RATE OF OVER 3,500. PARTICIPANTS INCLUDE ATHLETES, COACHES, OFFICIALS AND VOLUNTEERS. THE 2022 EVENT WAS HELD IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA. THE EVENT WAS STREAMED LIVE GLOBALLY AND HAD OVER 100,000 VIEWERS. DAY 1 OF THE EVENT IS TRAINING DEVELOPMENT FOR ATHLETES, OFFICIALS, VOLUNTEERS AND COACHES. THESE CLINICS ARE HOSTED BY INTERNATIONAL UMPIRES, COACHES AND OTHER PROFESSIONALS WHO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME TO HELP DRIVE THE DEVELOPMENT OF AMERICAN NETBALL WITH WORLD CLASS STANDARDS. DAY 2 AND 3 OF THE EVENT IS THE NETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS. DURING 2022 THIS COMPETITION SAW LADIES AND MIXED/CO-ED CATEGORIES WITH 3 DIVISIONS IN EACH CATEGORY: THE CUP, THE SHIELD AND THE BOWL. PARTICIPANTS WERE FROM 20 U.S. SATES, US VIRGIN ISLANDS, CANADA, JAMAICA, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO, UK, AUSTRALIA AND HONG KONG.
