EDUCATE THE STATE OF INDIANA'S (THE STATE) CITIZENS AND POLICY MAKERS ON THE IMPORTANCE OF A QUALITY EDUCATION AND THE IMPORTANCE IT PLAYS IN INDIANA'S ECONOMIC VITALITY, COMPETITIVENESS, AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT FOR THE STATE TO SUCCEED IN THE GLOBAL MARKETPLACE; TO PROMOTE K-12 EDUCATION PUBLIC POLICIES NECESSARY TO PROVIDE ALL HOOSIER STUDENTS ACCESS TO A QUALITY EDUCATION IN AN ENVIRONMENT THAT BEST MEETS THEIR LEARNING NEEDS, MAKES THE STATE AN ATTRACTIVE PLACE TO DO BUSINESS, LIVE AND RAISE A FAMILY, TO INCREASE HIGH-PAYING JOB OPPORTUNITIES; TO ASSIST IN HELPING INDIVIDUALS RECEIVE THE EDUCATION OR CREDENTIALS NEEDED FOR THESE JOB OPPORTUNITIES, AND TO ENGAGE THE STATE'S CITIZENS IN MAKING THE STATE AN ECONOMIC POWERHOUSE NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY; TO INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATIONAL REFORM INITIATIVES, INCLUDING INCREASED SCHOOL CHOICE AND IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF THE K-12 EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM; AND TO SUPPORT THE ECONOMIC GROWTH OF THE STATE THROUGH IMPROVED EDUCATION AND EXPANDED SCHOOL CHOICE.
