TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO IDAHO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION. THE MISSION OF IDAHO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION IS TO ENRICH THE QUALITY OF LIFE THROUGHOUT IDAHO. IT PURSUES THAT MISSION BY GATHERING FUNDS FROM DONORS, WHILE HELPING THEM ACHIEVE THEIR CHARITABLE OBJECTIVES, GROWING THE FUNDS OVER TIME THROUGH A SOUND INVESTMENT PROCESS, AND GRANTING THE FUNDS FOR A BROAD VARIETY OF WORTHWHILE PROJECTS STATEWIDE.
TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR VARIOUS CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS. 70 DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS OPERATING PRIMARILY WITHIN THE STATE OF IDAHO AND OTHER WESTERN STATES WERE RECIPIENTS OF GRANTS. ALMOST 80 INDIVIDUAL GRANTS WERE AWARDED TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR GENERAL OPERATIONS AND SPECIFIC PROJECTS. OF THESE 35 WERE AWARDED FOR MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH AND 20 FOR FAMILY HOMELESSNESS AND BASIC NEEDS. THE REMAINING GRANTS WERE FOR ACCESS TO SERVICES, EDUCATION, PUBLIC PROJECTS AND RECREATION.
TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INDIVIDUALS OUTSIDE OF NORCO, INC'S EMPLOYEES AND THE CHILDREN OF NORCO, INC.'S EMPLOYEES. 54 EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS WERE PROVIDED DIRECTLY TO EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS FOR THE BENEFIT OF SPECIFIC INDIVIDUALS. THESE SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED THROUGH A COMPETITIVE PROCESS WHERE APPLICANTS MUST MEET CERTAIN CRITERIA SUCH AS GPA, APPLYING TO ACCREDITED EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, AND SOPHOMORE OR HIGHER COLLEGE STATUS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A SCHOLARSHIP.
