(PROMEDICA), A MISSION-BASED, LOCALLY OWNED, NONPROFIT HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATION HIGHLY FOCUSED ON ACHIEVING CORE VALUES. HEADQUARTERED IN TOLEDO, OHIO, PROMEDICA SERVES 28 STATES ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND IS ONE OF THE NATION'S LEADING HEALTH SYSTEMS. OUR STEWARDSHIP OF RESOURCES HAS ENABLED US TO WISELY INVEST IN PATIENT-CENTERED CARE, ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY, INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS, AND FAMILY-ORIENTED FACILITIES THAT HELP TO ENSURE PATIENTS AND AREA RESIDENTS HAVE EQUAL ACCESS TO HIGH-QUALITY, SAFE CARE IN THE MOST APPROPRIATE SETTING, REGARDLESS OF PATIENTS' ABILITY TO PAY. TRANSPORTED MORE THAN 2 MILLION SPECIMENS; 5,600 X-RAYS; 21,000 SIGNATURE SLIPS; HANDLED MORE THAN 36,000 STAT CALLS, AND NEARLY A MILLION PIECES OF MAIL AND PACKAGES. ADDITIONALLY, FOR THE PROMEDICA MEDICALLY ACUTE CARE AT HOME PROGRAM, COURIERS MADE MORE THAN 1,000 TRIPS AS WE PROVIDED SERVICES TO/FROM THE PATIENTS IN THEIR OWN HOME. PROMEDICA COURIER SERVICES, INC. ALSO SERVED THE COMMUNITY BY SUPPORTING EVENTS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS THE TOLEDO OPERA, THE ARTS COMMISSION, BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB, SUSAN G. KOMEN'S RACE FOR THE CURE AND THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION'S HEART WALK.AS THE NEEDS OF OUR CUSTOMERS CHANGE, PROMEDICA COURIER SERVICES, INC. CONTINUES TO IDENTIFY NEW OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE PATIENTS AND SUPPORT COMMUNITY PARTNERS AS APPROPRIATE. IN SUMMARY, PROMEDICA COURIER SERVICES, INC.
