THE PACE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE PROGRAMS OF ALL-INCLUSIVE CARE FOR THE ELDERLY. AN ARRAY OF SERVICES ARE PROVIDED AT THE PACE CENTER SUCH AS RECREATIONAL THERAPY, MEALS, SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, AND A MEDICAL CLINIC. PACE RETAINS AN ON-STAFF TEAM OF NURSES, AN ONLINE PHARMACY NETWORK AND TWO PHYSICIANS WHO DISPENSE MEDICATION, MONITOR VITAL SIGNS AND TEND TO THE WELL-BEING OF THE PARTICIPANTS. DURING THE CURRENT YEAR, THE PROGRAM HAD 344 PARTICIPANTS. PARTICIPANTS IN THE PACE PROGRAM CAN RECEIVE OUTPATIENT OR INPATIENT PHYSICIAN VISITS. EXAMPLES OF OUTPATIENT AND INPATIENT SERVICES ARE HOSPITALIZATION AND SPECIALIST VISITS. DURING THE CURRENT YEAR, 6,219 INPATIENT AND 21,902 OUTPATIENT VISITS OCCURRED. FRANCISCAN PACE HAS ALSO ESTABLISHED THE PATIENT CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM OFFERS BASIC SERVICES SUCH AS MEALS, CLEANING AND RESTROOM ASSISTANCE FOR THE PARTICIPANTS AT THEIR HOMES. DURING THE CURRENT YEAR, THE PROGRAM HAD 243 PARTICIPANTS.
