NORTH RAMPART COMMUNITY CENTER, INC. SUPPORTS THE NEEDS OF NEW ORLEANS CHILDREN THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH FAMILIES, SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES BY PROIDING ACADEMIC, SOCIAL, HEALTH, AND CULTURAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES TO ENABLE AND STRENGTHEN THEIR PERSONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM: DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR, THE CENTER OFFERS TO THE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES A SAFE, FUN AND STIMULATING AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM INVOLVES COMPUTER CLASSES, ARTS, CRAFTS, TUTORING, SPORTS AND FIELD TRIPS. THE PROGRAM EMPLOYS QUALIFIED INSTRUCTORS AND TEACHERS WITH EDUCATIONAL CERTIFICATIONS AND DEGREES. THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE A HIGH QUALITY, HANDS-ON LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR CHILDREN.


SUMMER CAMP: THE COMMUNITY CENTER OFFERS AN EIGHT WEEK SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN. THE SUMMER PROGRAM PROVIDES A VARIED CURRICULUM THAT INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS. PROVIDE QUALITY TECHNOLOGY AND TRAINING TO EMPOWER THE PARTICIPANTS TO SUCCEED IN SCHOOL AND THE WORKPLACE.PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE CAMP PARTICIPANTS TO LEARN A HOBBY OR HOBBIES THROUGH THE USE OF VISUAL AND CREATIVE ARTS SUCH AS DRAWING, PAINTING, JEWELRY MAKING AND SAND ART.PROVIDE A MENTORING PROGRAM FOR THE PARTICIPANTS THAT PROVIDE POSITIVE ROLE MODELS TO ENABLE PERSONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT.PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE PARTICIPANTS TO INCREASE THEIR VOCABULARY, PHONICS AND SPELLING SKILLS.DEVELOP READING COMPREHENSION FOR THE CHILDREN.


VOLUNTEER HOUSING PROGRAM: THE COMMUNITY CENTER ALSO PROVIDES A VOLUNTEER HOUSING PROGRAM IN WHICH COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS ARE HOUSED AND MAINTAINED.
