SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES PROVIDE MATERIAL RESOURCES,TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND COLLABORATED IN COORDINATION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS AND COMMUNITY-LED CRISIS RESPONSE. SIX MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDED: 1) AGROECOLOGY FOR FOOD SOVREIGNITY INITIATIVE - 152 FARMERS PROVIDED SUPPORT THROUGH KNOWLEDGE SHARING AND RESOURCES TO TEST AND ADVANCE AGROECOLOGY ACROSS 14 VILLAGES IN HAITI AND UGANDA. 2) FARM-TO-SCHOOL CHILD NUTRITION FARMS EXPANDED TO THREE FARMS IN HAITI, PROVIDING HEALTHY HOT MEALS TO AN ESTIMATED 581 SCHOOL CHILDREN AND 60 CHILDREN OF FATIMA HOUSE ORPHANAGE; 3) PROVIDED OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FOR FATIMA HOUSE ORPHANAGE; 4) PROVIDED OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FOR ST ANTOINE SCHOOL, PROVIDING QUALITY EDUCATION FOR 600 CHILDREN IN HAITI; 5)WORKED WITH COLLABORATIVE INVOLVING THREE COMMUNITIES TO DEVELOP PRELIMINARY PLAN FOR COOPERATIVE HOME BUILDING PROJECT USING SUSTAINABLE EARTH BLOCK CONSTRUCTION; AND 6) DESIGNED AND LAUNCHED PLAN FOR PLANTING COVER CROPS IN AGROECOLOGY TRIALS OF 55 FARMERS IN HAITI AS WAY TO MINIMIZE IMPACT OF DROUGHT AND OPTIMIZE FARM PRODUCTION FOR COMMUNITY-LED FOOD RELIEF EFFORTS.
