APRAXIA KIDS IS THE LEADING NONPROFIT THAT STRENGTHENS THE SUPPORT SYSTEMS IN THE LIVES OF CHILDREN WITH APRAXIA OF SPEECH BY EDUCATING PROFESSIONALS AND FAMILIES; FACILITATING COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND OUTREACH; AND INVESTING IN THE FUTURE THROUGH ADVOCACY AND RESEARCH.

DURING THIS PERIOD, 68,698 MEMBERS JOINED OUR SUPPORT GROUPS SHARING RESOURCES, UTILIZING OUR EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS, ALONG WITH SEEKING GUIDANCE FROM OTHER FAMILIES AND PROFESSIONALS. WE ENHANCED OUR WEBSITE WITH MORE DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT, ALLOWING FOR EASIER ACCESS TO OUR FREE RESOURCES AND EDUCATION WITH OVER 1 MILLION WEBSITE VIEWS. WE DEVELOPED A PARENT PORTAL WHICH IS AN ALL-INCLUSIVE RESOURCE FOR PARENTS TO FIND ANSWERS TO THE MANY QUESTIONS THEY HAVE ABOUT CHILDHOOD APRAXIA OF SPEECH THROUGHOUT THEIR ENTIRE APRAXIA JOURNEY. OUR ANNUAL CONFERENCE WAS HELD LIVE AND VIRTUALLY WITH 632 INDIVIDUALS WORLDWIDE IN ATTENDANCE. VIRTUAL EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS AND RESOURCES WERE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF JULY 2022, FOLLOWING THE LIVE EVENT.WE CONTINUE TO FIND WAYS TO INVEST IN COMMUNITY OUTREACH DEVELOPING STATEWIDE RESOURCES FOR OUR FAMILIES. OUR NATIONAL WALK FOR APRAXIA EVENTS WERE IN PERSON OFFERING A VIRTUAL OPTION FOR FAMILIES TO RAISE AWARENESS AND DONATIONS IN 59 CITIES WITH OVER 6,000 PARTICIPANTS. WE CONTINUED OUR SPEECH TABLET PROGRAM, DISTRIBUTING SPEECH TABLETS AND PROTECTIVE CASES TO CHILDREN FROM LOW TO MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES, ALONG WITH OFFERING SCHOLARSHIPS TO OUR NATIONAL CONFERENCE. APRAXIA KIDS CONTINUES TO SUPPORT RESEARCH ASSISTING RESEARCHERS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD TO RECRUIT SUBJECTS FOR THEIR APRAXIA RESEARCH STUDIES.
