THE FOUNDATION WORKS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE PA CHAMBER TO ACCELERATE THE PRIORITIES OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY AND SUPPORTS RESEARCH AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS THAT POSITIVELY IMPACT PENNSYLVANIA'S COMPETITIVENESS, INFRASTRUCTURE, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY.

WE'RE BLAZING A BOLD APPROACH THAT EMPHASIZES A COMPETITIVE PENNSYLVANIA, A SOLID INFRASTRUCTURE AND A STRONGER WORKFORCE THROUGH STRATEGIES THAT WILL LEAD TO A ROBUST ECONOMY AND EXPANDED OPPORTUNITIES. IN 2023, THE PA CHAMBER EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION HOSTED AN ANNUAL ECONOMIC SUMMIT FORECAST. THIS EVENT WAS DESIGNED FOR COMPANY PRESIDENTS, EXECUTIVE OFFICERS, BUSINESS OWNERS, FINANCIAL OFFICERS, TREASURERS, BOARD MEMBERS AND INVESTORS. THIS EVENT PRESENTED SOME OF THE NATION'S MOST RESPECTED ECONOMIC FORECASTERS, ANALYSTS AND INNOVATION FUTURISTS WHO PROVIDED INSIGHTS TO HELP BUSINESS LEADERS UNDERSTAND THE DETAILS OF THE CURRENT ECONOMY AND PREPARE FOR WHAT IS EXPECTED IN THE FUTURE.CIVIL DISCOURSE AND CIVICS EDUCATION PLAY A CRITICAL ROLE IN MAINTAINING A FUNCTIONAL DEMOCRACY, AND IT'S INCREASINGLY IMPORTANT TO ENCOURAGE STUDENT ENGAGEMENT IN CIVICS SO YOUNG PEOPLE CAN BECOME FUTURE ENGAGED CITIZENS. IN 2023, THE PENNSYLVANIA CHAMBER EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION WAS PROUD TO PARTNER WITH THE U.S. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOUNDATION AND CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE THROUGHOUT PENNSYLVANIA TO HOST THE FIRST-EVER STATEWIDE CIVICS COMPETITION. THE PENNSYLVANIA CIVICS BEE IS AFFILIATED WITH THE NATIONAL CIVICS BEE, WHICH ENCOURAGES YOUNG AMERICANS IN 6TH, 7TH, AND 8TH GRADE TO ENGAGE IN CIVICS AND CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR COMMUNITIES. MODELED ON TRADITIONAL SPELLING AND GEOGRAPHY BEES, THE COMPETITION GIVES STUDENTS THE CHANCE TO WIN RECOGNITION AND EARN CASH PRIZES BY SHARING IDEAS FOR IMPROVING THEIR COMMUNITIES AND SHOWING THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND ENTHUSIASM FOR CIVICS. THE WINNER OF THE PENNSYLVANIA CIVICS BEE HAS SINCE BEEN INVITED TO COMPETE IN THE INAUGURAL NATIONAL CIVICS BEE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, WHICH WILL TAKE PLACE IN WASHINGTON, D.C., IN FALL 2024.
